Our Counsellors

Sarah

Sarah has many years experience working as a counsellor in educational settings, working from reception to postgraduate, alongside holding lecturing positions on degree courses and working as a clinical supervisor.

In the past ten years, Sarah has worked in her private practice focusing on work with adolescents and young adults. The culmination of these experiences brought Sarah to launching Y13UP, a service which supports through a transitory time for young adults.

Sarah originally trained in a person-centred counselling approach and went on to study with the Beck Institute to gain qualifications in CBT practice. All the approaches Sarah practises can be used in the models of work Sarah is experienced in providing: long-term counselling, time-limited and single session models.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys walks with her family dog and going to the theatre.

Carly

It may be that you are at a transition point in your life and need some space and time to decide how you feel about this and what your next steps might be…. I hope we can help with this.

I am a qualified counsellor who has much experience working within educational settings and with young adults. I work within many areas including experience in neurodiversity, life transitions, anxiety and self-esteem.

I offer a safe space and a listening ear at a time that is right for you as you may wish to explore your hopes, challenges and where you want your journey to lead you next.

A little about me: I am a Mum of two boys and enjoy many adventures with them! In my spare time, I love going to football matches, listening to live music and going on long walks and runs.

Jo

Dealing with change can be difficult, helping you explore the changes that are happening can support your future.

My name is Jo and I have been counselling in a number of schools for some time now. Prior to my counselling work, I supported those with additional needs within a secondary school setting.

I feel that counselling should be a time for you and establishes the importance of looking after your wellbeing in a safe and non-judgemental environment. I have experience with loss, anxiety, neurodiversity, self confidence, changing relationships and more.

In my free time I love to read, listen to music and get sucked into the latest TV series!

Jemma

As a Counsellor, I understand that whatever difficulties you are experiencing will be personal to you and I know how important it is that they are treated that way regardless of what might be going on for others around you.

I know how valuable counselling can be but also how daunting it can seem at first. I work with my clients to create an environment where they feel that they can trust me and be listened to in a way that is not judgmental.

I will offer you a safe and supportive space where you can talk about difficulties that you may be experiencing in relation to your past, your relationships or your current situation.

I offer a person centred approach to my clients within areas such as grief and bereavement, depression, anxiety, life transitions and relationships.
